"On Wednesday's we wear pink," We've all heard that before right?
I don't actually have on pink, but I am standing by a pink door.. that counts right? In all honesty though, can you see what else I'm wearing in the picture?
That's God's armor.
Protecting me day in & day out.. no questions asked.
As we walk into 2018 I've become so aware of the ways the Lord has changed me within the last year; a lot of people don't know my testimony and I feel that I will share it with you very very soon.
But, right now.. think about what you wear each day.. are they just clothes.. cheap or expensive makeup.. your favorite shoes.. brand new jacket.. whatever it may be.. I promise you, it's not as fashionable as God's armor.
In Ephesians 6:10-18 you'll see just how amazing God's armor is;
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
It protects us against the devil's schemes. How amazing is it, that trusting the Lord with all our heart, is all it takes to protect us from evil. I've gone from crying over mean comments on Instagram, to praying for the person being mean. From holding grudges on family members, to forgiving them and giving my mind piece. Jesus' love and faithfulness has brought me out of the dark and into the light with every aspect of my life.
I'm not saying it's going to be easy.. but if you've ever had a relationship with anyone, you know that their are hills and valleys... but HE is the God of the hills and valleys and knows everything about our path and where we're going and why we're going through the things we are.
TRUST... that everything serves a purpose in your life, even the breakups. That's been a huge part of my walk with God.. trusting his presence in the breakup. (I'll share more of that testimony soon.) But, just know... whoever you are.
The Lord brought you to this page for you to know... it's gonna be okay, just trust Him.
