Hi friends! Let me start off by introducing myself: my name is Melissa, but you can call me Melis. I met the lovely Brooke Taylor in the summer of 2014, when I was doing an internship in Los Angeles. I currently live in sunny Los Angeles, California and I’m originally from New Jersey! I’m obsessed with music, my rescue pup Koda, and DISNEY. Living in LA means living super close to Disneyland in Anaheim. (Well… it may be close in miles, but with the traffic here, it can sometimes take up to two hours to get there!)
In fact, I’m a proud Disneyland Annual Passholder! I have some pretty persuasive friends here in LA who talked me into getting one, and I don’t regret it at all. When you’re going to Disneyland so often, you want to be stylish (at least I do!) I’m always trying to get the PERFECT photo for my ‘gram — come on, you know you’d do the same!
One day, I decided to make my own Minnie Mouse ears. I was inspired by other handmade ones that I saw people sporting around the park, and next thing I knew, I opened my own Etsy shop. My shop is called “Magic by Melis” and I create wire mouse ears lined with huge Minnie-inspired bows or an array of fun florals.
