A Little Bit Of Faith

Everybody needs a little bit of faith and a lot of God.

Matthew 17:20 - He replied... "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

A friend of mind text me this yesterday:

My only answer for that is a little bit of faith and a lot of God.

Seriously, this is something I've been working on for the last year after a major breakup and my faith and relationship with God has been a HUGE factor in truly loving myself.

A lot of girls my age have a hard time loving themselves... and then try to supplement that with the love of a man. But, when that ends up not working out, they are still left empty.

My advice to you... is you have to love yourself and believe in your worth first and foremost, before you ever try and complete someone else. I know people say "two halves make a whole," but where does that leave the 1/2 of you that wasn't whole in the first place? Especially if you lost or lose your 'other half.'

That's where I was at... I thought I was whole because I had a boyfriend that made me feel like I was something special. But, when I lost him... I had no where else to turn but the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 says "May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together - spirit, soul, and body - and keep you fit for the coming of our Master Jesus Christ."

Being single has been nothing but a gift from God in this season of my life, because I've been able to put 100% of my faith in Him, growing in our relationship and becoming whole... along with devoting myself to His work.

Rather than wonder "what is wrong with me?," "Why am I single?," "What am I doing wrong?," - Thank God for the gift of singleness. Don't use it for a time to live a selfish lifestyle and into sexual sin. VALUE yourself, keep your eyes fixed on heaven and LOVE yourself.

He's got the perfect man waiting for you... you're just not ready yet.

Love y'all,

Brooke Ashley Taylor
